Town Marshal Brad Fisher was killed assisting in the pursuit of a stolen vehicle on U.S. 36 near Lynn at approximately 8:30 a.m.

Early Wednesday morning, Town Marshal Fisher was responding to a report of a known stolen vehicle that had fled from a Randolph County sheriff’s deputy during a high-risk traffic stop. While deploying a tire deflation system, the stolen vehicle struck Town Marshal Fisher and then crashed into a dump truck.

Town Marshal Fisher passed away at the scene.

The driver of the stolen vehicle was apprehended.

Town Marshal Fisher had served the Lynn community for 25 years. He served as Town Marshal, a firefighter, EMT, and Street Superintendent. Survivors include his wife and two children.
